NASCAR Strikes New TV Deals With Amazon, TNT, Renews Existing Deals

Continuing to build its live sports stable of programming on its Prime Video, Amazon has made an exclusive seven-year deal to carry five NASCAR Cup Series races starting in 2025.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

The Amazon deal comes amid renewal deals for existing TV partners NBC Sports and Fox Sports, which remain the major TV networks airing NASCAR race competitions, as well as a new deal with Warner Bros. Discovery's TNT.

All legacy TV network deals will also include airings on respective streaming services.

NBC Sports and Fox will have 14 races each per season. NBC will air races, as well as other related programming on the NBC Television Network, USA Network and on premium streamer Peacock.

Fox Sports will air races on Fox Television Network and FS1.

Through NASCAR's deal with Warner Bros. Discovery's TNT network, races will also be streamed on Max's B/R Sports add-on tier.

Amazon and TNT will each have five mid-season races.

Collectively, those seven-year agreements will garner a collective $7.7 billion, according to one sports industry publication. In total, 38 races will air per year through the 2031 TV season.

Amazon Prime Video is now in its second year of its NFL deal with “Thursday Night Football,” which has seen viewership gains of 26% over its first season, averaging 12.3 million viewers through three months of the NFL season.
