Like online content piracy before it, Hollywood studios have set their sights on "rogue" mobile apps, which use images from movies and TV shows without permission. In the most recent case, “Time Warner Inc Warner Bros Studio sent Google Inc a ‘take down’ notice … demanding that the Internet company remove from its app store ‘Hobbit 3D Wallpaper HD.’” The mobile app uses images of the Oscar-nominated film, a studio spokesman tells Reuters.
