Social networks are increasingly being blamed for society’s worst behavior. Last week, Wired investigated how social media is facilitating gang violence in Chicago. This week, Vanity Fair faults social apps for helping young people engage in casual sexual encounters. Using the most objective terms possible, VF says social networks have “drastically affected gender roles for young people.” 

Posts and status updates within Facebook user networks are now searchable via Graph Search. The change is long overdue, according to InsideFacebook. “One of the common complaints from Facebook users is the inability to find specific posts or status updates,” it writes. “Now, Facebook is working toward a solution by allowing posts to be found through Graph Search.”
