YouTube may soon begin charging a subscription fee for some of its video content -- a move that Google's Salar Kamangar, senior vice president, YouTube and Video, says could pave the way for cable TV programmers to move ouside of the traditional "bundles" that cable network providers package them in.

Schick on Wednesday launched a new branded entertainment series on Yahoo's video portal, Yahoo Screen, in addition to running episodes on television on Fox Sports' Fuel TV channel. The series, called "Clean Break," will run with 21 original webisodes on Yahoo Screen while airing on Fuel TV with five 30-minute and one one-hour weekly episodes.

In the June 12 Video Daily story "Vungle To Build Developer Network With Seed Funds," the company announced it would use $1 million of the $2 million funds raised in April to attract mobile app developers to its platform. That announcement was made prematurely by Vungle management. It is expected to be confirmed sometime next week.
