VideoInk,com is reporting that
Scripps Networks Interactive is readying a new Hulu-like video portal called ulive.com, which will show off the company’s extensive library of programming from its Food Channel, HGTV and Travel Channel cable networks. The site will also "develop and release original programming spanning five categories: travel, home, food, parenting, and wellness," VideoInk says, quoting multiple source. The new site could debut in June. A Scripps spokesman would not comment today. but Scripps holds its cable upfront Tuesday morning in New York, a likely time to make the announcement.
