AwesomenessTV, the multichannel YouTube outfit acquired last year by DreamWorks Animation, is acquiring Big Frame, another YouTube network of more than 300 channels,for $15 million. Together, the entities claim they will reach 80 million subscribers and amass nearly 1 billion views a month.

Following months of testing, Google is upgrading Nielsen's Online Campaign Ratings from an experiment to a bona fide form of trading currency across its operations. While the deals are not exclusive -- Google will continue to offer comScore's vCE ratings to advertisers and agencies that want to conduct business on that data -- the new agreements will enable Google to guarantee video advertising buys utilizing the currency of the buyer's choice. As part of the agreements, Nielsen's Online Campaign Ratings will also be integrated into Google's ad serving platform DoubleClick.

Leading into the NewFronts, AOL hopes to wow advertisers with its first long-form video series, Connected. For the effort, AOL has hired Israeli-based production firm Koda Communications to bring the franchise to New York.
