    In June, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has, for the first time, had a CEO (played by Dawn Hudson), and a new COO (played by Ric Robertson). The Academy has written a new role, Chief Marketing Officer, a role that has been filled by former New Line Cinema marketing executive Christina Kounelias. The Academy Awards have been struggling to hang onto viewers. In recent years, the Academy has been much more aggressive in marketing and promoting the Oscars.
