• Apple Watch Sales Are Not Keeping Time
Apple Watch sales have fallen almost 90% since the device hit shelves. Some are mulling the potential that Apple Watch is a bust, with only 38% of reviewers giving it a thumbs-up. While contributor Gene Marks sees similarities with the Google Glass crackup, he says Apple Watch's potential fail is much worse. First, Apple Watch is not an experiment, but a huge market launch with huge marketing spend; and second, it isn't revolutionary or even that innovative.

  • Why Marketers Find Reddit Loathsome
Among the likely reasons Ellen Pao left Reddit as interim CEO is that it's a non-starter for marketers. She said she couldn't meet revenue goals set by the board because the business depends on advertising. Though 160 million people post on the bulletin board-type setup, advertisers won't drink from a toxic sub-Reddit soup of vitriol, pot shots, sexism, racism and just general hatred.
