The airline industry has been challenging the Transportation Department's rule that airlines have to advertise the total cost of a ticket in fare ads. Now the U.S. Supreme Court has rejected the industry's challenge once again, in refusing to hear the case. Blogger Vani Hari has been trying to get consumers in Chicago to sample the U.K. version of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. But it's a stunt. That's because the U.S. version of the product uses artificial dyes. The Monday "taste test" was to prove that the two versions taste the same by handing out tiny cups of the U.K version. Only about 10 people tried; most agreed. But she got the right kind of attention: earned media.

Singapore writer Chris Reed explodes over Burger King's new nuclear ad. The new burger ad is definitely bad timing, but probably is also just in poor taste. Bad timing because of the tension in Korea and threats of nuclear war. In any case the new ad touts BK's burger by suggesting its taste is thermonuclear (there's a nuke detonation backdrop).
