American Eagle, which has more than 1,000 stores in the US, has hired property agent Harper Dennis Hobbs to find a store in central London and met with key landlords last week. The retailer is the latest in a growing line of youth US fashion brands to target the UK. Hollister, Urban Outfitters, and Forever 21 already have a collection of stores, while J Crew is due to open on Regent Street later this year.

Daily-discount service Groupon, used by some 42 million people is launching Groupon Reserve, a tool that lets consumers book reservations at high-end restaurants in 10 cities - including Boston, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco - with discounts of 20% to 40%. The program offers discounts off checks without requiring pre-payment or vouchers. It also gives local businesses the chance to draw crowds at slow hours through flexible pricing.

Tennis is a $5.57 billion business, which represents a 3% increase over this time last year, according to new figures from the Tennis Industry Association, a not-for-profit trade association that promotes the growth of tennis and the economic vitality of the industry.

At three stores and 30 of the cocktail/barbecue meals a day between 6 and 11 p.m. Priced at 980 or about $10, the Broiled BBQ Ribs are marinated and finished with a barbecue sauce. On offer are Mojitos, Sky Diving, Long Island Iced Tea, Pink Daiquiri, Cuba Libre and a rum drink Google translates as "Ram and Back." The Burger King stores already offer Heineken beer but the cocktails are something new for the chain.

Convenience chains and Big Tobacco collectively moaned when the President floated the 2014 federal budget, which includes a 94-cent levy increase on cigarettes, with a comparable raise in the levy on all tobacco products. Obama says the proposed tax increase is intended to help fund pre-kindergarten programs for 4-year-olds across the United States. The tax rate on cigarettes would jump from $1.01 per pack to $1.95.
