Millennials outnumber Boomers by 11 million, partly because of immigration. Fifty-seven percent are white, versus 72% of boomers and 61% of Gen-X. Twenty-seven percent will never marry because it's not important to them, and the average age of marriage among the demographic is 29. And the gap between income levels of college-degree holders versus people without a college degree is widening. But college debt has quadrupled.

Amazon reviewers are seizing on “I Can Be A Computer Engineer" from Mattel’s “I Can Be” series. It focuses on Computer Engineer Barbie, created in 2010. Not much of an engineer it seems. She can design a game but is kind of stuck in a 50's "oh…I need big, strong, man" when it comes to coding it. And even rebooting her machine. And she even gives her computer a virus, and then needs help fixing it all up again. Why they let girls to mens work I'll never know.

Nokia has the 98th most valuable brand name in the world (worth about $3.2 billion). The portion of the brand not owned by Microsoft is looking for ways to monetize. It's off to a strong start with Tuesday's launch of a new Android tablet N1 and corresponding Z Launcher software. The N1, key to the comeback, will cost $249 in the U.S. The rollout starts in China. It will feature Nokia’s Z launcher software, which adapts the home screen’s apps throughout the day depending on the owner's behavior and usage.

Americans will (try to) eat some 46 million turkeys during Thanksgiving. Good luck with getting one cheap. Supplies are dropping, and when that happens you pay more; 16% more. U.S. grocers are currently paying the highest prices ever at the wholesale level. Turkey is $1.24 a pound in the week ended Nov. 10, meaning supermarkets won't have discount leverage.

MassMutual is going after Millennials in Boston with The Society of Grownups. Think of it as financial advice over skinny lattes. The 2,000 square-foot coffee house in Brookline, designed by IDEO, has a startup-space feel with a communal table. It has financial planning sessions and classes and discussions for a fee.

Sears may lose its top-appliance-seller status to Lowe's as Sears' CEO Eddie Lampert tries to remake the department-store chain. Sears had 28% of the major appliance market in the U.S. last year, but it might drop to 10% by the end of 2016, says an analyst at Credit Suisse Group in New York. If Lowe's picks up even a quarter of that share, it would be top appliance seller by the end of 2016.

The flying wing is the most efficient aircraft design and Airbus would like to give it a try for commercial passenger planes. The company has submitted a flying-wing patent with a circular cabin with a hole in the middle, where economy and premium economy travelers are in the outer ring and business class in the inner circle. One issue, though, is passengers' reaction to having no window.

Massachusetts regulators are investigating a beer-tap pay-to-play condition in the state in which beer distributors, brewers, and retailers are promoting certain beers at bars and liquor stores, in exchange for payments that freeze out competitors. Investigators for the state Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission said they have issued subpoenas to a number of breweries, beer distributors, and retailers.

"Berry Kristmush" is what Burger King's Japan division is wishing the people there. The message goes with the new holiday menu, featuring Mush'n'Cheese burger with mushrooms (not mush) and cheese. How about the Premium Berry burger, topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato...and cranberries. The chain also did a NY Pizza Burger in Japan and then Pizza-Size Burgers in 2011.

A day after police arrested 23 people outside a Los Angeles Walmart protesting low wages and for better conditions, a group of the chain's employees announced plans to protest at 1,600 Walmart stores nationwide on Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year in the United States. The labor group, Our Walmart, said it had protested 1,200 to 1,400 Walmart stores last year on Black Friday, the day after the Thanksgiving holiday.
