Mozilla last year announced that the latest version of Firefox would block third-party ad technologies by default. A year later, the non-profit Mozilla is launching an ad business, at the IAB's annual meeting in Palm Desert, Calif. The ads will appear within the tiles of Firefox's new tabs page, which will also begin to suggest pre-packaged content for first time users. Mozilla is calling the new initiative "Directory Tiles."

Sears has debuted In-Vehicle Pickup, via Sears' Shop Your Way mobile app that lets customers pick up their online purchases at any Sears store within five minutes of arrival, without leaving the car. Shop Your Way members shop online, completing their purchase via computer or tablet. At check-out, they choose In-Vehicle Pickup and input details of the vehicle they'll arrive in, then sign in to their Shop Your Way mobile app and enable location services before leaving for the store.

Over 70,000 new products are launched every year in the United States alone, yet more than half of US residents can't recall a single one. The online survey polled over 1,000 people over age 18. GM revealed that compensation for CEO Mary Barra will be about $14.4 million, which is 60% higher than what her predecessor, Dan Akerson, received in 2013. The maker released the information early - two months of ahead of scheduled - to deflect criticism leveled at the company that it was not paying her what they paid Akerson.
