The breadth of Volkswagen AG crisis isn't clear, but it's getting bigger. The scandal, when it broke in September, was about one pollutant in one type of engine and VW brand. Now the EPA's charges of emissions-rigging have pulled in Porsche and Audi. VW's own investigation has found inaccurate emissions ratings assigned to some 800,000 cars, not all of them diesels. "It's a like a virus that's spreading," said Dave Sullivan, an analyst with AutoPacific.

Aeropostale plans to use drones for advertising before launching its maiden store in India, the first company to do so in the country. The New York-headquartered brand, popularly called Aero, will use three drones to circle Select CityWalk mall in Delhi on Friday evening when it holds a music festival a day ahead of the opening of the store, executives said.

Consumers aren't the only ones who are moving away from cable providers. Disney chairman and chief executive Bob Iger seems to get that. He said last week that the company, which owns ABC and sports behemoth ESPN, is "very interested in taking products directly to consumers," adding that Disney is launching an on-demand subscription app, DisneyLife, later this year in the U.K.

The Jetman is back in stunts, promoting Dubai, Emirates Airlines and the new Airbus A380, the world's largest airliner. Yves Rossy, who is now pretty much superhero famous for flying what is essentially a miniature jet aircraft that he wears like an avian backpack. In the new films, he flies in formation with another pilot, alongside the A380, above Dubai's Burj Khalifa. In the stunt, with videos at the jump, videographers recording from another, smaller plane.

Jaguar Land Rover has vehicles galore in the new James Bond movie "Spectre," and the company is taking full advantage of the integration deal. JLR is going full tilt to its social media channels with behind-the-scenes posts, showing how the Jaguar C-X75 concept and modified versions of the Range Rover Sport SVR and Land Rover Defender are all in the film. And there's also a TV campaign.

Sportswear giant Adidas announced Thursday that it would offer free design resources and financial assistance to any high schools that want to change their logo or mascot from Native American imagery or symbolism. The company announced the initiative ahead of the Tribal Nations Conference at the White House, which Adidas executives attended.

If Walgreens buys smaller rival Rite Aid, expect an "acquire and fire" scenario. Real estate services company Cushman & Wakefield says the new merged business, assuming Walgreens Boots Alliance buys Rite Aid for $17.2 billion including debt, could wind up closing 3,000 stores, 2,000 more than the 1,000 Walgreen's deal allowed for.

Caleb Bradham's back. The North Carolina druggist invented a drink that became Pepsi-Cola. Now PepsiCo is launching a new soda brand called 1893, a reference to the birth year of "Brad's Drink," as his beverage was called. The company in August filed a trademark application for the phrase "1893 From the makers of Pepsi-Cola." Last year the company launched a new brand called Caleb's Kola that is made from cane sugar, kola nuts from Africa, spices and a hint of citrus.
