  • United Gets To Rename L.A. Memorial Coliseum For $69 Million
    A naming rights deal will rechristen it in 2019 as the United Airlines Memorial Coliseum under a 16-year, $69 million deal, part of a $270 million renovation the venue is currently undergoing to update the home for the USC Trojan football team, the NFL's Rams (through 2019 until their new stadium is built) and in 2028 events and the Closing Ceremony for the Summer Olympics.

    In the face of building tension within the country, brands and news sources continue to be caught in the political cross fire, often viewed as playing to a specific party. Morning Consult, a brand intelligence and custom research firm, has released its rankings of the most polarizing brands in the U.S. Though fashion brands were spared, news sources and Trump Hotels proved to be hugely controversial in a country that’s increasingly divided.
  • Panera Has Another Food Safety Scare
    Panera Bread has recalled all two- and eight-ounce cream cheese products sold in its U.S. locations after it found samples of one variety of two-ounce cream cheese with listeria monocytogenes, according to a press release. The popular national chain said Listeria was found during a single production day. However, tests on samples manufactured before and after that run came back negative, according to the release.
  • Formula One Stops Using Grid Girls
    Formula One has decided to end its use of “grid girls” starting with the 2018 season. “While the practice of employing grid girls has been a staple of Formula 1 Grands Prix for decades, we feel this custom does not resonate with our brand values and clearly is at odds with modern day societal norms. We don’t believe the practice is appropriate or relevant to Formula 1 and its fans, old and new, across the world,” the company said in a statement. 
  • Chipotle Offers Free Delivery Via Postmates
    Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. is offering free delivery during Super Bowl weekend through its partnership with Postmates. The service will be available in the 40 metro markets that Postmates operates in, delivering orders for free during Chipotle restaurant operating hours from Friday to Sunday. The offer is not valid for catering orders.
