Who thought it was a good idea to have vodka for dinner? There are some brand new holes in my brain that weren't there yesterday and I blame YOU, Jeremy Greenfield! But enough about me, let's talk about the PostAdvertising.com launch party last night at the darkest bar I've been to yet. Ah, the good ole days of prohibition. Mixed drinks served in teacups, draft beers served in tall clay tumblers, and bottled beers delivered in brown bags.

"Organize your pretty party" the sign snooted at me from the elevator wall of the SoHo House. "Pretty party?" I thought, wrinkling my forehead and squonking up my nose at the wall. I peered closer and saw that, indeed, at the SoHo house "cowshed" (excuse me?) you could arrange a little party for all your little wrinkly friends (or almost wrinkly) and there would be certified technicians on hand to "administer treatments." I like red. Red makes me think of social deviants playing tag in their underwear after 12 shots of tequila. So, I was thrilled to walk into the Samsung Experience at the Time Warner Center and rest my thirsty eyes on the red foggy wall that lined the ramp up to the bathroom. I'm a big fan of ramps towards restrooms....

Swearing is so refreshing, isn't it? It doesn't even have to be hardcore - I laugh when people say crap. Swearing tells me that that you're (gasp!) human. Which is how I found Rick Boyko, VCU Brandcenter's director & professor, creative.

Zango is one of the largest adware companies still in business and has one of the most checkered pasts. For years, advocates complained that the company used suspect methods to install its ad-serving software on consumes' computers. For years, Zango said it was doing the best it could to police affiliates, who allegedly violated company policy by drive-by installations.

The RIAA suffered a major blow in court this week, but that hasn't stopped the organization from pressing forward with lawsuits against individuals. In fact, the group appears to be accelerating its efforts against college students. In the last two weeks, the RIAA has sent some universities up to 20 times the typical number of notices about infringement, according to press reports.
