• Phil Mickelson Makes Deal With Mizzen + Main Menswear
    Phil Mickelson, one of the most-high-profile golfers in the world, has signed a deal to become a global brand ambassador for menswear brand Mizzen+Main. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Mizzen+Main said the long-term partnership makes Mickelson “an equity holder in the company.” Mickelson joins J.J. Watt of the NFL’s Houston Texans as a major partner in Mizzen+Main.
  • Paris And Tourism Face Another Attack
    People were evacuated from buildings in a Right Bank neighborhood of Paris after a lone attacker stabbed five people with a knife in the name of Allah. One person was killed and the other four were injured — two seriously. The Islamic State group claimed the attacker was one of its “soldiers.” The Aamaq group says the assailant carried out the attack in response to the group’s calls for supporters to target members of the U.S.-led military coalition to squeeze out extremists from Iraq and Syria.
  • Budget Carrier Spirit To Add Wifi
    Spirit Airlines is going high tech. The Florida-based, ultra-low-cost airline announced on Friday that its entire fleet will be equipped with WiFi by the summer of 2019. For an airline known best for its rock-bottom prices and no-frills flying experience, the ability to stream movies at 30,000 feet will be a pleasant surprise for many. "We're excited to make this announcement," Spirit Airlines president Ted Christie told the publication in an interview.
  • BBC Gets Huge Bump In Google News Search In UK
    The BBC ranks in all 50 of the top 50 positions on Google News for the search term “news,” according to an Indivigital analysis. At the time of writing, it is also 97 of the top 100 results for the same search term. The results only appear to be available to users in the UK. The same search on Google News in the U.S. produces upwards of 18 different news sources in the top 50 results (excluding results that appear within a cluster).

    The partnership, which entails Wisconsin-based Kohl’s accepting Amazon returns at select locations in the Chicago and Los Angeles areas, may be translating into a lift in customer traffic for those stores participating in the initiative, according to a research note from New York-based Gordon Haskett Research Advisors.
  • Fiat Chrysler Adds Dodge Durango Police Pursuit Vehicle
    Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is adding a police pursuit version to the Dodge Durango lineup. This is the second police car in FCA's fleet, once dominated by the sleek Charger interceptor, which Dodge says is the best-selling police sedan in the U.S. FCA says the vehicle created such a stir among law enforcement agencies at the Michigan State Police 2018 model-year vehicle evaluation event that it had to find a way to build it.
  • Burberry Sues Target Over Trademark Check
    Burberry, the British fashion house, has sued everyone from J.C. Penney to T.J. Maxx for trademark infringement for use of its signature check pattern. Last week, it filed a federal lawsuit in New York against Target Corp., alleging the same. “This action arises from Target’s repeated, willful, and egregious misappropriation of Burberry’s famous and iconic luxury check trademarks,” the lawsuit says.
  • Goldman Sachs, Apple Partner For Credit Card
    Apple and Goldman Sachs have been working for months on a new credit card product that would bear the Apple Pay brand, according to two people familiar with the companies’ talks. They spoke on the condition of anonymity because the talks were continuing. The product would be Goldman’s first credit card offering and could help the bank’s effort to expand its consumer products.
  • Automakers Discount Last Model's Pickups
    Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and General Motors Co. have trimmer, high-tech trucks coming this year that will fetch top-dollar prices. For now, the automakers are dialing up discounts on outgoing models. Average incentives on the Ram 1500 pickup reached an eye-popping $7,173 last month, up almost $900 over last year, according to dealer data compiled by J.D. Power and obtained by Bloomberg News.
