Mattress maker Serta has partnered with DJ Clark Kent, a hip-hop artist, musician, producer and designer, for the release of the iC1, a limited-edition sneaker. The shoe features Serta’s iComfort UltraCold System technology, a carbon fiber-infused memory foam and high-performance MaxCold fabric, designed to help pull the heat away from feet for a cool, comfortable feeling. It is used in the company’s iComfort mattress.

Ford Motor Co.'s new chief financial officer has an impressive resume, including top jobs at Amazon and Snap. “He also came with a pedigreed sidekick: a chief furry officer,” reports Bloomberg. “Wander past Tim Stone’s glass-walled office on the 12th floor of Ford’s world headquarters on any given day and lying at his feet is his lively, 7-year-old Australian shepherd, Finley.” He’s part of a pilot program offered to 1,300 office employees at Ford allowing them to bring their dogs to work in a bid to attract top talent.

Uber's first study detailing unsafe incidents on the ride-hailing platform, the company reports 3,045 sexual assaults occurred during its 1.3 billion rides in the United States in 2018. Nine people were murdered and 58 killed in crashes. Uber is hardly alone. Last week,
19 women joined a lawsuit against Lyft, saying they had been sexually assaulted during rides arranged by the company.

Actor Ryan Reynolds is poking fun at the controversial Peloton bike ad (where a husband buys his wife exercise equipment for the holidays.) Reynolds shared the holiday ad for his company, Aviation Gin, which features the exhausted-looking wife from the Peloton ad out at a bar with two friends. She's clearly upset, and her friends tell her, "you're safe here" while she chugs the gin and toasts "to new beginnings." Reynolds captioned it "Exercise bike not included" on his Instagram post.

Expedia Group’s chief executive and finance head resigned Wednesday after the leaders clashed with the online travel giant’s board over strategy and the company’s outlook. In a memo to employees, Expedia Chairman Barry Diller said that the departing executives and board disagreed on estimates of how much cash the company would generate, according to Forbes. The company attempted earlier this year to reorganize its various brands (Hotels.com, Hotwire, Orbitz, Travelocity and Trivago) in hopes of increasing cross-selling and efficiency.

PETA and other animal rights activists are targeting Nordstrom after an undercover video revealed widespread mistreatment of fur-bearing animals such as minks, chinchillas and sables at farms in Russia. Bloomingdales and Macy’s have discontinued selling fur items, but Nordstrom has been a holdout, continuing to sell fur sourced from Russia despite banning fur from its own line years ago. Chanel, Burberry, Gucci, Michael Kors, Prada and Versace have all dropped fur in recent years.

Now, Tesla’s founder and CEO is facing defamation charges over calling a little-known British citizen a “pedo guy.” His defense is he wasn’t calling the man a child molester, but that this was “just a case of two men trading angry insults,” per Forbes. Musk claims he didn’t mean the plaintiff is a pedophile and that “pedo guy” simply is code for “creepy.”

Forever Floatride Grow launches globally in Fall 2020 and is an updated iteration of Reebok’s Floatride Energy running shoe. The midsole is made from sustainably grown castor beans, while the upper comes from the eucalyptus , the rubber outsole and sockliner are made from algae foam.
