    People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is targeting Budweiser for allegedly abusing the Clydesdale horses shown in the beer company's Super Bowl ads. "Celebrating their 90th year as a beloved local and national icon, the Clydesdales have come under PETA’s eye for their tails," per The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "The animal-rights organization claims the bony part of the tails are cut off or made to fall off when the horses are young, a practice the organization said is cruel."

    CVS is spending $10.6 billion to acquire Oak Street Health, which runs clinics that specialize in treating Medicare Advantage patients. "The acquisition comes just three months after a nearly $9-billion investment by rival Walgreens in VillageMD’s acquisition of the urgent and primary care chain Summit Health-CityMD," per The Associated Press. "And that deal was announced two months after CVS said it would spend $8 billion to acquire home health care provider Signify Health."
  • Buffalo Wild Wings Offer Super Bowl Overtime Contest
    Buffalo Wild Wings will offer a free order of six boneless or traditional wings if the Super Bowl game goes into overtime. "It's the fifth year in a row Buffalo Wild Wings has made the offer," per USA Today. "Only one Super Bowl, though, has ever gone into overtime — the New England Patriots' victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI."

    Emergency dispatchers are receiving false distress calls from Apple devices equipped with technology meant to detect car crashes and alert 911 dispatchers."It is a more sensitive upgrade to software on Apple devices, now several years old, that can detect when a user falls and then dial for help," per The New York Times. "But the latest innovation appears to send the device into overdrive: It keeps mistaking skiers, and some other fitness enthusiasts, for car-wreck victims."

    Global Pharma is recalling an eye drops product after a possible link to an outbreak of drug-resistant infections, U.S. health officials said. "Both the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are advising against the use of EzriCare Artificial Tears, as they may be contaminated and linked to an outbreak of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, causing one death," per NPR.

    Jersey Mike's has entered into a multiyear sponsorship deal with Jersey Mike's. "JMS has, through the deal, become the NHL’s official sub sandwich partner, marking its first-ever tie-up with a professional sports league," per SportCal. "The benefits for JMS will involve 'an array of exclusive marketing rights and designations,' the NHL has said, and the partnership will get underway at the NHL All-Star Weekend (Feb. 4 and 5) in South Florida."
