New York University Hospital Langone has filed a federal lawsuit accusing Northwell Health of "ripping off" its color scheme in advertising. The suit alleges that Northwell Health "even made one of its buildings violet to cash in on the smaller medical center's stellar reputation," per the New York Post.

Starbucks workers in 21 states were told by manager not to decorate for Pride Month, a claim that the company said represented “outlier” decisions by local leaders that did not reflect corporate policy. "Starbucks workers in Wisconsin, Ohio and Virginia, among other states, said in interviews arranged through their union that store and district managers have been asked to either take down existing decorations, such as a flag or streamers, or told that they would not be allowed to decorate stores for Pride Month, unlike in previous years," per The New York Times. Ford Motor Co. has created a Spotify playlist to celebrate its 120th anniversary. "As one might imagine, there are a lot of songs that have been produced over the years that either center around Ford and its vehicles, or at the very least, make mention of one of those two things in their lyrics," per Ford Authority. "However, in this case, FoMoCo limited its playlist to just 120 of those songs, an obvious nod toward precisely how old the company will be as of tomorrow."

Some physicians find that ChatGPT improves their ability to communicate empathetically with patients. "In one survey, 85% of patients reported that a doctor’s compassion was more important than waiting time or cost," per The New York Times. Several current and former Target employees shared the hateful backlash they have experienced during this year's Pride Month.  "In a year marked by heightened vitriol against the LGBTQ+ community and right-wing conspiracy theories that its members are 'groomers,' violent backlash ensued as some protesters tore down Pride displays, harassed Target employees, and made bomb threats at local stores," per The Cut. "Target attempted to address the backlash by announcing the removal of Pride merchandise 'at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior' from its shelves. Prime Day spending is expected to be down, according to a survey of 1,000 prospective shoppers by Ziff Davis for RetailMeNot. The average respondent who will shop Prime Day plans to spend $250 on Prime Day (and other retailers’ simultaneous sales) this year, down 16% from $388 in 2022 and 58% from $594 in 2021. Of that planned spend, respondents intend to spend most of it ($150) at Amazon (down from $233 in 2022) and $100 at other retailers offering their own promotions during Prime Day (down from $155 in 2022).

Ford Motor Co. has opted to reverse course and include AM radio in all of its 2024 model year vehicles, a decision that is now drawing praise from a group of radio broadcasters. Ford Motor Co. has filed a patent outlining an idea for a system that may be used in future Ford vehicles to ensure younger drivers aren’t out past their imposed curfew.
