"Journey to Comfort" will include Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Amazon and Viggle, as well as TV spots, all anchored by former NBA star and current TV analyst Shaquille O'Neal, two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash and Michigan State University head basketball coach Tom Izzo.

Matt Hardigree takes Chrysler to task for an effort to "buy off 'mommy bloggers'" with an iPad and a promise of a trip to NYC. He writes that the effort, called "Blogger Faceoff," pitted five (now four) popular "mommy bloggers" against one another in a vote-getting scheme disguised as a discussion of road trips. "A 'mommy blogger' is, if you're not aware, typically a mother with an Internet connection and no shame," he writes. Hard to argue with that one.

A raunchy advertisement by upmarket lingerie firm Agent Provocateur showing four scantily clad women "kidnapping" a woman in her own home has been cleared by advertising bosses. Despite one complainant calling the video "misogynistic and disturbing," the Advertising Standards Authority deemed it "unlikely to cause widespread offence."

Sheila Buckley has been named chief revenue officer at Vibrant Media, the company best known for its network of in-text ad units. Buckley had been at The Weather Channel as SVP of digital, mobile and cross-platform ad sales. At Vibrant, she'll be focused on helping the company move beyond contextual ads, those that appear as a user mouses over specific keywords within articles on content sites-toward ad opportunities in mobile, photo and video. Said Vibrant CEO Cella Irvine, "She's got a great reputation for building and managing teams, and she's superb at growing revenue."

Toyota Motor Corp. is promoting the American sales executive and bringing in a Japanese executive with extensive U.S. experience to oversee the Americas. Lentz, president and COO of Toyota Motor Sales USA, will become CEO, a position never before held by an American. Toyota appointed Shigeki Terashi president and chief operating officer of the New York-based holding company, Toyota Motor North America, replacing Yoshimi Inaba, the company said Wednesday.

Supermarket retailers in Canada are particularly vulnerable to disruption as a result of the ongoing and planned expansions of U.S. retail brands Target and Wal-Mart there, according to a report released this week by BMO Capital Markets. Wal-Mart Stores, based in Bentonville, Ark., has captured around 5.9% of the Canadian grocery market since it first made its arrival in Canada via an acquisition in 1994, according to BMO. It stands to gain greater share as it continues an ongoing effort to convert stores from general merchandise stores to supercenters.

Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. reported Tuesday that profit for the fourth quarter rose 27% to $111.1 million, compared with $87.5 million in the year-ago period. Revenue increased 6% to $1.61 billion from $1.52 billion, matching Wall Street expectations. Same-store sales inched up 0.1%.
