Gap Inc.’s newest subscription box, called BedtimeBox, features children’s sleepwear in sizes ranging between 6 months to 5T. The box is filled with three sleep sets, and is offered every three months. Customers create their subscription box account on a website separate from Gap and BabyGap. They create a profile by answering a few questions about their child and Gap stylists use these details to fill the box with merchandise.

The longest-running study on airline quality in the U.S. gave the nation's biggest carriers the highest score in the 27-year history of the study. The Airline Quality Ratings said the scores for the 12 biggest carriers have been improving over the past three years. The study found that nine airlines — American, ExpressJet, Frontier, Hawaiian, JetBlue, SkyWest, Southwest, Spirit and United — improved scores last year, compared to 2016.

Volkswagen Group CMO Jochen Sengpiehl said in a press conference in Berlin that he wants to establish a “new agency model.” The reorientation of Volkswagen is based on the motto "New Volkswagen.” The aim is to improve the brand perception and brand values, which had slipped significantly after the diesel scandal. Marketing needs to more effective and efficient, he says.

It is at least one of the dozen or so vehicles that General Motors is set to build under a $15.8 million contract with the U.S. Secret Service. “We’ve completed our task and we’ve handed over the vehicle to the customer,” says Cadillac President Johann de Nysschen.

New data on media coverage may prompt Detroit auto show organizers to keep the status quo rather than shifting it to October. This January’s North American International Show generated more press coverage around the world than any other U.S. auto show or Las Vegas’s trendy CES electronics show. News reports from Detroit during the press days reached 584 million people, compared with 285 million for the Los Angeles auto show.

The company signed an eight-year deal in 2015, valued at $1 billion by industry analysts, which took effect this season.

Tesla is blaming last month’s fatal crash involving a Tesla Model X in autopilot mode on the driver who died in the incident. The family of Walter Huang, the driver who died after the car crashed into a concrete median, is looking into legal action against Tesla, suggesting its semi-autonomous system is defective. Tesla claims its system was not at fault in the incident, instead blaming Huang for “not paying attention to the road.”
