Computing giant Dell just reported profits that beat the expectations of analysts, and it may be its last public earnings report. Dell reported earnings of 40 cents per share on sales of $14.3 billion, better than the consensus view of 39 cents a share on sales of $14.12 billion. Dell shares rose by 4 cents, or about 0.3 percent, to $13.85 after hours as the news crossed the wires. The company is still in the process of trying to transform itself from the PC-heavy company to an enterprise-focused company emphasizing servers, software and services.

Starting on March 3, Best Buy will price match all local retail competitors, along with 19 "major online competitors" in all product categories, whenever a customer asks for it, the company announced. "There is no doubt that this new policy ends showrooming for Best Buy customers," company spokesman Matt Furman told Bloomberg. Back during the holiday rush, Best Buy announced a temporary price-matching initiative. This is its permanent version.

McDonald's says business has been sluggish in Deutschland. But, not a company to give up, McD's is trying McCurrywurst, an appealingly priced (EUR2.99 or $3.99) mix of pork bratwurst chunks in a spicy tomato sauce accompanied by shaker packs of either mild or sharp curry powder. McDonald's has tried it before, introducing the mini Nrnburger brat sandwich in 2010. Same-store sales in Europe were down 2.1% in Europe in January (compared with a 0.9% gain in the U.S.) due in part to soft sales in Germany.

Let the hacking continue. Barely a day after a hacker attack on the Burger King account on Twitter, Chrysler's Jeep is getting hit, with tweets going out using vulgar language and claiming the automaker was sold to rival Cadillac. Jeep officials were alerted to the assault "almost instantly," according to a spokesperson, and were quickly able to shut down the account, while working feverishly with Twitter to regain control and restore a fake logo inserted by the hackers.

Best Buy is the main retail partner for the newly announced HTC One, and is putting muscle behind the mobile phone. "The reason why we're excited about this one is we need HTC back in the market," said Best Buy head of marketing Allister Jones. "We need customers to have more than two choices when it actually comes to smartphones. So we're excited not just about this phone from HTC but to see what else comes from HTC this year. The HTC One will be available on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint in late March.

Last month BlackBerry said BlackBerry 10 devices won't be in Japan and it would withdraw from the market. Now media in Korea suggest the Canadian company may exit that market too in the first half of 2013. Korean news wire Yonhap cites "industry sources" who say "sluggish sales" have made staying there less than tenable. Samsung, LG and Apple dominate that market.

It's gonna happen this month: China will (probably) overtake the U.S. as the biggest iOS and Android smartphone and tablet market. This per app metrics firm Flurry. The data said China and the U.S. had an active device installed base of 221 million and 222 million respectively. This month, China expected to have 246 million active devices, compared to 230 million in the U.S.
