Imagine a full-scale social network outside of Google Gmail that allows you to "like" topics; insert graphics, video and audio files; and connect with other social networks to comment or post through the open-source platform Salmon. Then think of all the signals advertisers could capitalize on. A dream come true, right? The plumbing of the Internet will become social, and with that will come super-charged search algorithms.
