• CHRIS SCHEMBRI: Discovery Networks U.S.
    CHRIS SCHEMBRI has been named vice president, media at Discovery Networks U.S. In his new role, Schembri will oversee the media planning and strategy efforts across Discovery’s 13 U.S. networks. Schembri is responsible for media positioning and cross-network promotion in accordance with major campaigns and company initiatives. He is also charged with the creation and execution of media partnerships and management of the Discovery Networks media planning teams and an external media agency.

    ANGELA LEE has joined National Geographic Kids magazine as its Western advertising sales manager. Lee will be responsible for all media sales accounts on the West Coast. Prior to joining the National Geographic Kids, Lee was the Western sales manager for NationalGeographic.com.
  • IAN BYRNE: Continental Television Sales
    IAN BYRNE has been named manager of the Continental Television Sales (CTS) Silver Team in Chicago. Byrne joined CTS in 1996 as a sales assistant in the Seattle office. In 2002, Byrne was promoted to vice president, sales manager in Boston, his most recent position.

    White Horse, an interactive marketing agency based in Portland, Ore., has opened a new office in Chicago. TONY BAGDY, who most recently was director of marketing for DigitalWork in Chicago, will be responsible for the office's daily operations, business development, and strategic growth, and will serve as lead account strategist in the region.

Most recently Wythes was vice president, marketing manager for Katz Dimensions.

    The Marketing and Advertising Global Network (MAGNET) elected DAN ST. JOHN, chairman and CEO of St. John & Partners Advertising & Public Relations, to its seven-member board of directors. He will serve as vice president of membership for a one-year term.

    Horizon Media has named KENDRA MCCANN as a research supervisor. McCann comes to Horizon from MediaVest where she spent the past five years, most recently as a senior research analyst, in the buying and research departments. While there, she worked on numerous prominent accounts such as Coca-Cola, Paramount Pictures, and Procter & Gamble.
  • ROB MIDDLETON: Fathom Online
    Fathom Online has promoted ROB MIDDLETON, who has been with Fathom Online since its inception in 2002, to executive vice president, chief strategy officer from executive vice president new business. TOM O’GRADY assumes the new post of director of client services and is launching a new office in Chicago. He will be responsible for client-related activities, including account management, and strategic planning. O’Grady comes from OMD Digital in Chicago, where he was an associate director of strategy.

    AGENCY.COM announced that TOM AJELLO has been named vice president, group creative director for itraffic, the company’s interactive marketing group. Previously, Ajello worked for Modem Media. At itraffic, Ajello will work on brands such as Discovery Channel, Discovery Kids, TLC, Travel Channel, British Airways, BrownCo, and JPMorgan Invest.
