Tourism marketing agency Development Counsellors International (DCI) is promoting Daniella Middleton to the newly created role of senior vice president/tourism. This position unifies the shop’s five divisions, including PR, business events and digital marketing, under one leader to better serve the agency’s roster of destination clients. Havas Health & You (HH&Y) has appointed Icaro Doria Global Chief Creative Officer for the network. In his new role, Icaro will lead the development of the strategy and vision for the global network's various creative agencies as well as lead the HH&Y global creative council. WPP has appointed Simona Maggini Country Manager for Italy, succeeding Massimo Costa who the holding company said has decided to step down from the role. Maggini will retain her existing role as CEO of VMLY&R in Italy. She joined Y&R in 2003 and has held a number of senior management roles including General Manager Y&R and VML Italy, before being promoted to CEO in 2015. Los Angeles-based independent media agency GP Generate has appointed Rob Tucker director of analytics. Previously Tucker was vice president/trading and analytics at ProgrammingAddicts. Cross-cultural agency the community has hired Anomaly alumnus Matthew Kline as its new executive director, growth & partnerships. He will oversee business development and public relations. Based in New York, Kline will report to President Luis Montero. At Anomaly Kline contributed to new business wins including NBCUniversal’s Peacock, Microsoft, Huda Beauty, and Abbott Diabetes Care , while also building partnerships with organizations like the ANA and AdColor. Healthcare marketing group W2O has appointed Bryan Specht group president, transformation, consumer activation and marketing. In this role, he will expand W2O’s healthcare offering to include additional consumer-focused, tech-enabled and digital capabilities, designed to accelerate its transformation to a digital healthcare firm.
