• CARLOS MARTINEZ-CORTINES: Conill Advertising
    Conill Advertising announced the appointments of CARLOS MARTINEZ-CORTINES to general manager of the L.A. office, SEAN PATRICK to group account director and CARLA POUMIAN-RUIZ to account director. Martinez-Cortines previously served as vice president, group client director of Badillo-Nazca in Puerto Rico. As group account director, Patrick will oversee all Procter & Gamble businesses including Tide, Pampers, Crest, Sunny Delight, and Head & Shoulders. Poumian-Ruiz moves over to Conill from the Vidal Partnership where she managed U.S. Hispanic advertising efforts for Schering-Plough, MasterCard, and Wendy’s. Her new responsibilities include overseeing the healthcare businesses at Conill, including Tylenol, Pepcid, Mylanta, and Motrin.
  • KEVIN HANLON: Travel + Leisure
    KEVIN HANLON has been hired as senior account manager for Travel + Leisure magazine. Hanlon will be responsible for the mid-Atlantic territory, with a category focus on consumer electronics. Prior to joining Travel + Leisure, Hanlon worked as an account director at Screenvision Cinema Network, handling spot time for movie screens in Texas, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
  • CHRIS MCANDREWS: National Geographic
    National Geographic announced that CHRIS MCANDREWS has been named senior vice president of advertising sales and general manager of Nationalgeographic.com. In this newly created position, McAndrews will be responsible for overall management of National Geographic’s website, including advertising sales, daily content development, and site operations. McAndrews comes to National Geographic from Travelocity, where he was senior vice president of leisure travel and partner marketing and general manager of the company’s San Francisco operations.
  • CHICKIE BUCCO: Katz
    CHICKIE BUCCO has been named president of Katz Television Group direct marketing. In this position, Bucco oversees direct response and program time sales on behalf of more than 350 of Katz Television Group’s client stations and supervises departments located in New York and Los Angeles.
  • MATTHEW SPIELMAN: IAG
    IAG, the TV measurement company, has named MATTHEW SPIELMAN as vice president, account management. Prior to joining IAG, Spielman was the vice president of marketing and sales at Threshold Sports. In that role, he oversaw all sales and sponsorship efforts for the company and its nationwide Pro Cycling Tour.
  • KEVIN WILK:Eyeblaster
    Eyeblaster, a rich media delivery and management company, recently opened a San Francisco office. KEVIN WILK, formerly of Microsoft’s MSN network, has been hired to head the new office. As business development manager, Wilk will foster Eyeblaster’s relationships in the region and service new clients.
  • THOMAS MATTHEWS: PARADE
    THOMAS MATTHEWS has joined PARADEas an advertising sales account executive in the magazine's Los Angeles office. Matthews came to PARADE from Investor's Business Daily, where he was southwest regional manager. Prior to that, he was president of Matthews & Associates, the radio promotion agency he founded in 1997.
  • ANDREW B. DAVIS: American Press Institute
    ANDREW B. DAVIS, director of innovation and business development for the Media Management Center at Northwestern University, will take the role of president and executive director of the American Press Institute on December 1. At the Media Management Center, Davis was responsible for industry-specific seminars for magazine, broadcast television, and cable executives.
  • HEATHER FAUNCE: Crispin Porter + Bogusky
    Crispin Porter + Bogusky announced the hiring of HEATHER FAUNCE as management supervisor. Faunce joins the agency from Leagas Delaney. She will be working on Shimano, Telluride, and Virgin Atlantic Airways accounts at CP+B.
