Former publisher MICHELLE KING stepped down for medical reasons but will remain a consultant at the magazine.Pask joins the company from Luxury SpaFinder, where she served as vice president/publisher. Prior to that, Pask was CEO of conferences at Women’s Wear Daily and Publisher of W Jewelry.

    CMP Media has promoted BRIAN FULLER to publisher of EE Times. Fuller will be responsible for the overall strategic vision of its print and online properties, increasing sales revenue, and marketing the EE Times brand. Fuller joined EE Times as business editor and was named editor-in-chief in 2001.
  • BRUCE L. PAISNER
    BRUCE L. PAISNER was re-elected as president and chief executive officer of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for a second two-year term beginning in January 2006. Paisner re-appointed FRED M. COHEN to serve with him as chairman. Paisner is also president of Hearst Entertainment, Inc. and a vice president of The Hearst Corporation. Paisner joined Hearst in 1981 as president of King Features Entertainment.

    Seed Media Group has launched Seed Digital - a division dedicated to developing science content across digital media channels - and appointed MICHAEL TIVE as general manager and FABIEN SAVENAY as managing director, international. Tive was formerly vice president of marketing at Sony Electronics, where he was the senior marketing executive for sonystyle.com. Savenay was most recently global head of advertising and sponsorship at Nature Publishing Group, a division of Macmillan.

    Sundance Channel has named LYNNE KIRBY as senior vice president, original programming and development. Kirby comes to Sundance Channel from The Discovery Channel, where she has been serving as the head of New York based development. Kirby will be responsible for overseeing the development and production of Sundance Channel’s original series and films.

    ROMY MEHLMAN has been named regional director of marketing at Hard Rock International. For the past two years, Mehlman has been director of worldwide market research, Columbia TriStar Marketing Group, for Sony Pictures Entertainment, where she took the lead on domestic and international testing for all theatrical releases.

    JOHN BRIAR has been promoted from director, operations to vice president, operations for Operative. In this new role, Briar will be responsible for managing the operations teams for Operative's client base. Briar joined the company after two years as the regional supervisor of west coast operations for Beyond Interactive.

He will be responsible for BBDO and Proximity agencies in that region. CILLA SNOWBALL, chairman of AMV BBDO, will take on the additional role of chairman, Proximity London. In addition, AMANDA PHILLIPS is being promoted to managing director, Proximity London.
