ELIZABETH TALERMAN was named vice president, senior director of marketing for the Merchandising division of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. Talerman joins MSLO from Talerman + Partners.

JASON THALER was elevated to general counsel at Primedia. He was previouslysenior vice president, deputy general counsel.

COURTENAY SMITH was promoted to executive editor at Prevention. In addition, MICHAEL SEGELL and KARYN REPINSKI were promoted to deputy editors, and TERESA DUMAIN was elevated to senior editor.

FAYE WALKER, former head of marketing for The Tennis Channel, has joined Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios as vice president, worldwide television marketing. Walker will oversee the marketing of all MGM television programming worldwide, including cable, syndication, ad sales, VOD initiatives and campaigns.

VIA Group hired ABBIE SPEED as an account manager. Speed will work with such clients as the Maine Readiness Council, Silverstein Properties and CBS RADIO.

Carat Fusion added JIN CHUNG as associate director, customer relationship management and KATHLEEN PETERSON as customer relationship marketing manager to its Boston staff.

ALVIN WILLIAMS was promoted to senior director, music industry development, from director of music industry development at Gospel Music Channel.

PETER NICHOLSON was named partner/chief creative officer of Deutsch New York. Nicholson most recently served as executive creative director at JWT New York.

Post Logic Studios hired BETH SIMON as managing director of the New York office. She joins Post Logic from Ascent Media where she served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for the media management division.

MICHAEL FASSNACHT was promoted to chief customer intelligence officer for Draftfcb. Fassnacht is currently executive vice president, director of customer intelligence in the agency’s Chicago office.
