• REVOLVING DOOR: Antony Young Joins Water Cooler Group
    Water Cooler Group, a brand media communications company, launched this week, with Antony Young, former CEO of Mindshare North America, on board as president. Prior to working at Mindshare, Young served as CEO of Optimedia US. Water Cooler Group works with brands such as the Connecticut Office of Tourism, Entertainment One, Food Network, FX, Major League Soccer, Open Road Films and WE tv. Joining Young at the agency are Benson Hausman as executive director of marketing & development and Chas Howell as managing director of strategy & ideation.
  • REVOLVING DOOR: Firehouse Promotes Greg Hunter To GCD/Principal
    Dallas-based agency, Firehouse has promoted Greg Hunter to group creative director/principal. Hunter has spent more than three years at Firehouse, most recently as an associate creative director and copywriter. Hunter will continue to report to Tripp Westbrook executive creative director and partner. In his new role, Hunter will lead creative strategy and execution for clients including Service King, Taco Cabana and the National Cheerleader’s Association. Prior to Firehouse, Hunter spent three years as a copywriter at Mother New York, developing content for Sour Patch Kids, SPIKE TV, Full Throttle, Dell and K-Y brands.
  • REVOLVING DOOR: Steve Chavez Promoted To CCO At Leo Burnett Detroit
    Leo Burnett elevated Steve Chavez to chief creative officer of Leo Burnett Detroit. Previously, Chavez served as global executive creative director, managing creative across the Detroit client portfolio. Chavez joined Leo Burnett Detroit in 2010 as executive creative director overseeing the Buick account. In 2012, Chavez was named global executive creative director, in charge of the agency’s entire GM portfolio including Buick, GMC, AC Delco and GM Certified Service. Under Chavez’s leadership, Leo Burnett Detroit won five new accounts including the NCAA, Chevy Silverado, GMC and Buick in Canada, and the GM Certified Pre-Owned and Fleet and Commercial business.
  • REVOLVING DOOR: Rob Thorsen Joins Big Spaceship
    Brooklyn-based digital creative agency Big Spaceship hired Rob Thorsen as executive vice president of client services, reporting to Michael Lebowitz, CEO. Thorsen will oversee the development of Big Spaceship’s client relationships. Most recently, he handles digital and social media accounts at Publicis Network’s newly formed MRY. Prior to that he served as executive vice president, senior director at BBDO where he oversaw accounts like Starbucks and The Economist.
  • REVOLVING DOOR: Saatchi & Saatchi New York Promotes Justin Ebert to ECD
    Saatchi & Saatchi New York promoted Justin Ebert to executive creative director, up from creative director. Ebert joined Saatchi & Saatchi as a creative director in 2010, working with brands like MGD64, Keystone Light, Capri Sun, Kool Aid, Duracell and Charter Cable. Prior to that, Erbert spent three years with Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Boulder, where he worked on Hulu, Microsoft, Best Buy, Volkswagen and American Express.
