  • BILL JARIS has joined Lightningcast, Inc., an advertising technology and services company for interactive broadcasters, as senior vice president, sales. Prior to his appointment at Lightningcast, Jaris was vice president/product sales director at DoubleClick’s Internet market research division, Diameter Inc.
  • DOUG MILLER has been named SalesDirector at Henninger Media Services. Most recently, Miller worked as Director of Sales for Qwest Digital Media where he was responsible for the sales function for the Northeast territory as well as the creation of a government sales division.
  • AltaVista has tapped two new managing directors for its media sales team. Chris Marrow has been named managing director of sales for the western U.S. region and Chris Hulse has been appointed to the same position for the eastern U.S. region. Both hires will be responsible for managing major accounts and regional sales teams as well as driving increased advertising and sponsorship revenue across AltaVista.com.
  • Consumer Products industry veteran Bruce Morrison has been promoted to vice president, retail marketing, for Disney Consumer Products Worldwide. Morrison previously held the position of managing director, licensing retail and marketing, DCP Canada.
  • Gustavo Gatell has joined BVK/Meka as VP of Media Services. Gatell has more than 25 years of media experience in General and U.S. Hispanic, Caribbean and Latin American markets. efore joining BVK, Gatell was Media Director with Castor Advertising Corp., handling clients such as Kmart Corp, Castrol Oil, Bacardi, GMC Trucks, Anheuser Bush, and Coca Cola. He was also with L&M Marketing Services servicing clients such as MCI, Uncle Ben's Land O' Lakes, and Helene Curtis.
  • Beta Research Corporation, a full service market and media research company, has announced that Nicholas J. Ferrari will serve as Chief Executive Officer of Erdos & Morgan, a division of Beta Research Corp., focused on the business-to-business community. Ferrari will replace John J. Bedell who has resigned.
  • Marketing and media veteran Anne Marie Kelly has joined Mediamark Research Inc. in the new position of VP of Marketing and Strategic Planning, based in New York. Kelly most recently was VP, Global Marketing, for Media Metrix, Inc. Prior to joining Media Metrix, Kelly spent five years at The New York Times in senior sales and market planning positions.
  • CMR, the provider of strategic advertising and marketing communications information, this week announced that Tom Robinson has joined CMR and brings the capabilities of Precision Marketing Services, a New York-based marketing consultant firm devoted to the magazine medium, to serve as the leading focus of CMR's magazine division. Robinson, managing director of Precision Marketing Services, will head CMR's newly expanded magazine division as vice president, sales and development.
