I/PRO Corp. announced the appointments of ALLAN KAPLAN as president and CEO, and DAVID BARLIN as vice president of marketing. Kaplan has served on the Boards of public and private companies, including PaperSpace, Inc., LoanCity.com, Inc., Site Technologies, Inc., Dahlgren Control Systems, Inc., and Service Manufacturing Co. Barlin first joined I/PRO in 1995 just after its founding as one of the first ten employees. During his original employment at I/PRO, he introduced several of the company's current auditing services, including services for email subscription and demographics auditing, and opened I/PRO's European offices.

The Walt Disney Internet Group has appointed SCOTT THOMPSON, manager, northwest account sales. Thompson will work in WDIG's San Francisco offices and handle all client and agency sales efforts for the Disney Online properties in the Pacific Northwest. Prior to joining WDIG, Scott served as advertising director for Jupiter Media.

Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. announced the appointment of FRANK FLORES as vice president/director of sales of the SBS radio cluster in New York. Flores will be responsible for all the day-to-day operations and managerial control of the sales departments of both WSKQ-FM and WPAT-FM. Flores has spent the last 23 years with Infinity Radio in New York City. In the 1980’s, he was General Manager of WJIT-AM and for the past 14 years has served in several sales management positions with WXRK-FM, most recently as general sales manager.

JERRY BEILINSON has been named to the newly created position of deputy editor of Popular Mechanics magazine. Beilinson was formerly a senior editor at National Geographic Adventure since 2000. His position marks a return to Popular Mechanics, where he was copy chief from 1998 to 2000, as well as an occasional contributor.
