    BRUCE SEIDEL has been named senior vice president, program planning and special productions for Food Network. Seidel, in addition to his program planning and scheduling responsibilities, will handle the network’s development and production of special events and mini-series.

    TV Guide has named MARY RAMSEY director, circulation planning and finance. Ramsey will be responsible for managing TV Guide’s rate base and overall circulation profitability. Ramsey most recently served as planning director at American Media, where she managed the circulation contribution, budget, and forecast process for fifteen magazines.

    Discovery Networks has promoted JAMES LAVALLEE to director, ad sales marketing. Lavallee will manage all agency and client-directed business-to-business marketing. He most recently served as national manager, ad sales marketing, overseeing the ad sales marketing for Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Discovery Times Channel, Military Channel, The Science Channel, Discovery HD Theater and BBC AMERICA.
  • MARK HALE
    MARK HALE, who has been the vice president of technology operations for The E. W. Scripps Company since 2005, has been promoted to senior vice president of technology operations. Hale will continue to oversee the Scripps information technology group, which provides strategic technological support for all of the company's national and local media businesses. He also serves as executive vice president of operations for Scripps Networks.
