MAGGIE KNOLL was named print director of MindShare Chicago's new Print Group. Previously, she served as group planning director, responsible for leading the media planning team on the Sears account.

Concrete Pictures has hired SAM SCHOEMANN as vice president client development. Most recently, Schoemann was head of branded content and entertainment marketing for ka-chew!

BARBARA BLANGIARDI has been appointed to senior vice president, strategic marketing for NBC Universal. Blangiardi joined NBC Universal in 1999 as vice president of account services; in 2001 she was named vice president of marketing and special projects.

JOEY HYCHE joined Horizon Interactive as director of campaign management and technology; RANDAE MCKENNEY and TAYLOR VALENTINE joined the agency as account managers; and MARY CHEN was appointed campaign manager.

The Africa Channel has named DARRELL SMITH vice president of community development and marketing. Previously, Smith served as executive director of the Pan African Children's Fund, where he was responsible for overseeing fundraising operations and management.

MICHAEL WOLFE has been named publisher of Best Life magazine. He most recently served as associate publisher of GQ.

JEFF VINICK has joined Renegade Marketing Group as creative director. Vinick was previously associate creative director at Merkley where he spearheaded campaigns for Mercedes, Forbes, Smith Barney, Fila, and E-loan.

PAUL SCHOLES has joined Moser Builders as vice president of operations.

DAVID SIGEL has been named director of account management at Fallon, succeeding MIKE BUCHNER. Sigel has been at Fallon for 16 years and has been leading the financial services accounts for the agency.
