  • Twenty-one job cuts: BBDO Atlanta
    Twenty-one job cuts were made at Omnicom shops BBDO Atlanta and OMD. The layoffs, which president Chris Hall attributed to the ongoing "soft economy" account for approximately 9% of the Atlanta agencies' staff. Sources said the cuts were caused by budget slashes made by the agency's largest client, Cingular Wireless. BBDO Atlanta also handles the Tourism Board of Panama, Bayer Advanced and the Atlanta-based employment service, Randstad North America.
