    ERICKA NELSON has joined Optiem LLC as a senior account executive.     Hill, Holliday has named CHARLES MACLACHLAN as senior vice president, account director for the agency's New York office. He will oversee the PricewaterhouseCoopers account. Prior to joining Hill, Holliday, MacLachlan was senior principal, group account director at Publicis, New York, where he oversaw U.S. and international corporate branding for Siemens. Before this, MacLachlan worked as director of marketing and on-air promotion at CNBC.

    ROLAND JANISSE has joined MARC USA/ Miami as chief operating officer. Janisse has worked both internationally and domestically and held a number of senior management positions including managing director and regional account director for Leo Burnett in North and South America and Asia.
  • CONSTANCE CANNON FRAZIER: American Advertising Federation
    The American Advertising Federation (AAF) announced the appointment of CONSTANCE CANNON FRAZIER as senior vice president, AAF Mosaic Center and AAF Educational Services. Frazier will oversee the continuing efforts to promote the AAF Mosaic Principles and Recommended Practices as well as steer the AAF's educational programs including the National Student Advertising Competition. Frazier will work as an AAF executive consultant until December 31, and on January 1 will assume the full time position. She replaces HEIDE GARDNER, who is returning to the private sector and will remain a member of the AAF Mosaic Council.

    Simmons Market Research Bureau announced that KEN WOLLENBERG is joining the company as executive vice president and general manager of the Simmons Integrated Marketing Solutions (SIMS) unit. Wollenberg will direct the division that specializes in merging data from Simmons' National Consumer Study with transactional data from other companies to create new segmentation systems like BehaviorGraphics. Wollenberg worked most recently as the senior vice president for Strategic and business development at Nielsen Station Index, Nielsen Media Research's local measurement service.

    Nelson Communications has promoted four-year employee MARYLIN GUZMAN to media planner from assistant media planner. In her new role, Guzman is responsible for media planning for all divisions of the agency including Nelson Communications, New York; Nelson Communications, New Jersey; and Sciens Worldwide.

    FRANK P. GRASSO has been named vice president, newspaper relations for the Newspaper National Network. Grasso returns to NNN after spending three years at Mediaspace Solutions, where he was director of newspaper relations. There, Grasso oversaw newspaper relations, rate negotiations, and ad placement. He was director of newspaper relations from 1999 to 2000 at NNN.
