• JOE ADNEY: Initiative
    Initiative, Los Angeles, has hired JOE ADNEY as senior vice president, group account director. Adney will be responsible for overseeing agency activities on some of the region's key retail and entertainment accounts. Prior to joining Initiative, he served for five years as senior director, marketing for Baskin-Robbins, an Initiative client. Before that, Adney was the director of marketing for Disney Interactive.

    TONY FISHER has re-joined Deutsch as senior vice president, group creative director to work on the Bank of America account. Fisher had previously been with Deutsch from 1997 through 2001 and was most recently working at his own company, Tony Fisher Advertising. Prior to Deutsch, Fisher was executive creative director at Ally & Gargano, with clients including Dunkin' Donuts, Pfizer, Weight Watchers Foods and Aamco.

    JON DIAMENT has been promoted to senior vice president/general sales manager of CNN Advertising Sales, and LINDA YACCARINO has been promoted to executive vice president of Turner Entertainment Sales and Marketing. Diament's new position expands his role to include overseeing the daily management of CNN's national sales offices, including Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles and New York.     Grey Worldwide North America has promoted STEVE BLAMER to the new post of president and chief executive officer. Blamer, president and CEO of Grey Worldwide New York since April 2000, will have responsibility for Grey offices in New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto and Vancouver. Blamer joined Grey in 1989, and has served as the firm's managing director in Los Angeles and head of Grey London.

    Interep Interactive announced that ADAM GUILD, the company's president, and TIM MAHLMAN, senior vice president, sales, are taking aggressive new roles in ad sales, client management and new business development. Guild and Mahlman will assume the duties of departing COO JOHN DURHAM and manage the sales staff.

ROBERT MUCCIACCIO was named partner in charge of Creative; SARA MARTENS, partner in charge of Account Services; PAMELA AVERY, partner in charge of Public Relations; and KURT BOLLISH, partner in charge of Finance.
  • CHIP WALKER: BBDO Chicago
    BBDO Chicago announced that CHIP WALKER has joined the agency as EVP, director of account planning. Walker will work with the agency’s research team, as well as its creative and account leaders, to develop brand positionings for clients. He comes to BBDO from Y&R, New York where he was most recently chief planning officer on the agency’s AT&T team. In addition, CHRISTOPHER IANNUCCILLI has joined BBDO CHICAGO as SVP, client service director, new business. Iannuccilli was previously vice president and managing director at Semaphore Partners.
  • ESTE MLYNOWSKI: Horizon Media
    Horizon Media announced that ESTE MLYNOWSKI has joined the firm’s West Coast Buying operation as a broadcast group associate. Mlynowski comes to Horizon from Starcom Worldwide where she was most recently a media associate, buying local television for 17 markets. Mlynowski also helped establish Starcom’s first office in Los Angeles for the Walt Disney Theatrical and Home Video account. Prior to joining Starcom, Mlynowski was a development coordinator at Fox Family Worldwide.

    Media Revolution has hired BOB KASUNIC as director of online marketing and campaign strategy. Kasunic will advise and direct clients’ online marketing strategies while ensuring seamless integration with overall branding efforts.
