    Viamedia, a cable television advertising representation company, announced that DAVID SOLOMON has joined its team as corporate director of business development. Solomon comes to Viamedia from Comcast Media, where he served as general sales manager for 9 years. Solomon will be responsible for the development of sales strategies and tactics, training, vendor/co-op programs, and other initiatives.

    MELISSA RUSSO has been named account manager with Eagle Television Sales in New York. Russo joined Eagle Television Sales in March 2002 as a sales assistant. Three years prior to that, she completed an internship with Christal Radio.

    JERRY JUDGE, CEO of Lowe & Partners Worldwide, is installing a new global management team following the decision by Lowe Worldwide president TIM LINDSAY, to leave the agency in early 2004. Lindsay’s position will not be filled. IAN CREASEY, currently president of Lowe’s Asia-Pacific region, will move to London in January 2004 to assume the previously unfilled role of regional president, Europe/Middle East/Africa.

    ComGroup, an Atlanta-based advertising agency, announced the promotion of ANNE POWELL WARREN to senior account executive. Warren is responsible for managing the advertising initiatives of ADT Security Services. Prior to joining ComGroup, Warren worked as an account coordinator for Pollak, Levitt, and Nel Advertising in Atlanta.

    Cox Target Media (CTM) has promoted MIKE TINZ to general manager of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Valpak sales office. Tinz joined CTM in 2000 as sales manager of the Los Angeles/Cerritos owned and operated sales office to help build a sales team, grow readership content, and increase profit margins and distribution in the greater Los Angeles market. Before joining CTM, Tinz served as classified sales director of the Community Newspaper Company in Needham, Mass.
  • ELISABETH STARKMAN: IAG
    IAG, the TV measurement company, announced the addition of ELISABETH STARKMAN as vice president, account management. Starkman, who will be responsible for servicing key IAG accounts, will advise clients on how to maximize the impact of their advertising and in-program marketing buys through IAG's data solutions. Prior to joining IAG, Starkman was the director of customer acquisition and e-business solutions at Dunn & Bradstreet.
  • VAL DIFEBO: Deutsch
    Deutsch, Inc. announced the appointment of VAL DIFEBO as general manager of Deutsch's New York operation. An 11-year veteran of Deutsch, DiFebo served most recently as managing partner, director of client services. She will retain her managing partner title. The general manager position has been vacant since June 2001, when LINDA SAWYER was elevated from general manager to chief operating officer.
  • ROSEMARIE RYAN: J. Walter Thompson
    ROSEMARIE RYAN has joined J. Walter Thompson New York, the agency's flagship office, as president. Ryan has served as president of Kirshenbaum Bond and Partners since 1995. Ryan succeeds BOB JEFFREY who assumes the post of chief executive officer of J. Walter Thompson. Ryan will lead the New York office with over $1.4 billion in billings and more than 500 employees. Its clients include Pfizer, Unilever, Diamond Trading Company, Diageo, Benckiser, Merrill Lynch, Rolex, and Schick.
