• LINDA MCCUTCHEON: AARP
    LINDA MCCUTCHEON, a senior publications executive with more than twenty years of experience in media marketing management, research, and digital media, has been named Director, Publications at AARP. McCutcheon spent ten years with Time, Inc., first as Marketing Director for Money and then Time magazines. She also served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Time, Inc. New Media. In 1998, she was named one of the 25 Most Influential Women on the Internet.

    Regent Communications announced this week that CAL HALL is now the Vice President/Market Manager for their newly acquired Ft. Collins, Colorado stations. Hall is transferring from Regent's St. Cloud, Minnesota market where he served in the same capacity. Hall will be replaced in the St. Cloud, Minnesota market by David Engberg, previously the Director of Sales.

    Boede&partners, an integrated marketing firm, announced the promotion of JOHN KIECHLE to Associate Creative Director from Senior Art Director. In his new position Kiechle will handle creative responsibilities for the firm's work with Network Associates, a security services company that develops the McAfee AntiVirus Software and other leading security products, and will continue to contribute his unique talents to the other agency clients.

    360 YOUTH, an ALLOY company, announced the hire of MADELYN ROBERTS as VP, Publisher of Print and Interactive. Roberts will oversee advertising sales and marketing of the company's magazine and catalog properties as well as related Web sites, with circulation's totaling over 60 million annually. Prior to joining 360 Youth, she held positions as Publisher of McCall's Magazine and Mode Magazine.

    Arbitron announced the move of MANDY ADAMS to Radio Station Sales as the Arbitron Training Specialist throughout the west coast. She will be responsible for training radio station clients on Arbitron data and software. Adams worked as a Scarborough training specialist for Arbitron for the past 2 years. Prior to Joining Arbitron, she was a local radio sales account executive with WBAP-AM in Dallas, TX.

Prior to joining Departures, Kasel was the President of Kasel Luxury Marketing Group Ltd., a marketing company that focused on luxury hospitality and travel, provided strategic marketing planning and execution services, internet strategy and implementation, and developed partnership programs.

    New hires at Einson Freeman: CORY KALLET is the new Senior Partner, New Business. Prior to Einson Freeman, he was Executive Vice President, Account Director at DVC Worldwide. GEORGE CASABONA also joins Einson as COO. Prior to joining the agency, he was CEO at DVCi Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DVC Group specialized in online marketing. Also, MARY BETH BIRD joins as Account Supervisor. She joins Einson Freeman from The Zipatoni Company, where she was Account Supervisor in the agency’s Chicago office.

    ANDY REED, formerly the Eastern/Midwest Sales Manager for Golfweek Magazine and most recently Sales Manager for Golf Publishing Limited on the Majors of Golf, Great Golf Resorts of the World and PGA Magazine, has also joined The Van Duyne Group, LLC. Reed is now the National Sales Director for The Van Duyne Group where he will be working on exclusive partnerships with media, marketing and advertising companies. In his role, Reed will be responsible for implementing the sales and marketing strategies of the company’s client base.
  • BOB KERSTETTER: Lushadelic
    The Advertising Creative Director who developed the tagline "Do You Yahoo?" and accompanying yodel for the Internet company is starting his own San Francisco ad agency, Lushadelic. BOB KERSTETTER, formerly Co-Founder and Creative Director of Black Rocket Euro RSCG, left the Havas-owned agency almost a year ago and has been writing screenplays and directing commercials, including some for Yahoo! at his old agency. His partner at Lushadelic is Stelio Kitrilakis Founder and Executive Producer of San Francisco commercial production company Complete Pandemonium. Kerstetter will have the title Writer/Director.
  • TOM DRENNON & OMAR THOMPSON: Premiere Radio Networks
    Premiere Radio Networks this week announced that TOM DRENNON, formerly Senior Creative Director, has been promoted to Vice President, Creative Director of Marketing and Advertising. In his new position, Drennon is responsible for maintaining Premiere Radio's corporate identity. He will continue to oversee the creative design for the marketing department that serves as an in-house agency. Also, OMAR THOMPSON, formerly Director of Marketing, has been promoted to Vice President, Marketing and Advertising. Thompson will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategy, industry events, and advertising campaigns for the company.
