MediaCom U.S. has promoted ALAN ROVITZKY to senior vice president, associate director of strategic insights group from vice president, associate director of strategic insights group. In his new position, he will focus on minute-by-minute TV ratings, data fusion, multimedia optimizers, and other new media research methodologies, techniques, and media analysis systems.
Entrepreneur Media Inc. has named ANGELA MUETERS-LEWIS as Northwest ad director in the San Francisco office. Mueters-Lewis replaces JON SCHWARTZ, who has been promoted to Eastern ad director and will work out of the New York office. Mueters-Lewis joins Entrepreneur from CMP Media where she was the account director for CRN, a newsweekly for the IT/solution provider channel for the past five and a half years. Prior to Entrepreneur, Schwartz spent eight years at Ziff-Davis Publishing Company where he last served as West Coast advertising director.
ALLISON WHITE has been named vice president of business development for PARADE magazine. As part of the senior management team, White is responsible for developing competitive and long-term business strategies. She also oversees the daily functions of PARADE's research and sales support departments. White joined the magazine in 2002 as manager/planning and development.
Forbes.com announced that CHARLES YARDLEY has joined the company as regional sales manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), based in London. Yardley joins Forbes.com from the Financial Times Business, where he worked in international sales across retail magazines, events and online divisions.
Beyond Interactive, MediaCom's digital marketing communications company, has added JONATHAN W. RAGALS as senior vice president, group account director in the New York City office. Ragals will primarily be responsible for managing all activities for Beyond Interactive's clients, including Cendant, DoubleClick and 3M. Prior to joining the agency, Ragals was VP, account management at webloyalty.com.
NICK S. CYPRUS has been hired by Interpublic Group of Cos. as vice president, controller and chief accounting officer. He replaces DICK SNEEDER, who became controller at Interpublic's McCann-Erickson WorldGroup in March. Cyprus had been vice president and controller of AT&T, where he also led the telecom's Sarbanes-Oxley implementation, financial systems oversight, and cost-reduction initiatives. He has also been assistant corporate controller and chief accountant at AT&T, and before that served nine years at AT&T Capital Corp.
Sales promotion agency Einson Freeman, Inc. announced the addition of TRACY LANZA as director of client services and TRUDY CHIAVELLI as traffic manager. Lanza joins Einson from agency Powerpact LLC where as a strategist, she oversaw projects for clients such as Mattel, Lifetime Television, Court TV, and Breathe Right. Chiavelli joins Einson from DVC Worldwide, where she served as traffic manager.
Maven Networks has announced TONIE HANSEN as its new director of marketing. Hansen will oversee the development and execution of all marketing programs and PR, including Maven's Branded Entertainment Road Show for marketers and agencies. Previously, Hansen was the director of marketing for Mailblocks, and Excite@Home's media division.
