    Advertising.com has named ROBERT FORMENTIN to the position of vice president of advertiser services. Formentin will be charged with overseeing the company’s regional sales offices and sales support functions.
  • NEIL GOLDSTEIN: Bauer Publishing USA
    Bauer Publishing USA promoted NEIL GOLDSTEIN to the newly created position of publisher for its teen division of titles which includes J-14, TWIST and M. He formerly held the title of associate publisher for this group. Goldstein will manage the group's day-to-day operations with a focus on developing multi-platform marketing programs and integrated sales opportunities for advertisers across the division's titles.

    Arbitron named JOAN E. GERBERDING as vice president of sales for Arbitron Outdoor. Gerberding will be responsible for helping to build the Outdoor Division of Arbitron New Ventures. She most recently was the president of Nassau Media Partners, formerly a division of Nassau Broadcasting Partners, in Princeton, N.J.

    DIANE BURSTEIN, DEBBIE KNIFFIN, and MASON WELLS join the Best Life advertising team as marketing director, grooming/luxury goods director, and consumer goods director, respectively. Burstein most recently served as director of corporate creative services for Gruner + Jahr USA; Kniffin most recently was with Condé Nast Publications, serving as beauty and luxury goods director of Bon Appétit, among other roles; and Wells joins the magazine after serving as NY/Southeast ad director of MIT’s Technology Review.

    The Advertising Council has promoted two staff members: ELLYN FISHER to director, corporate communications, and BETH COSTIGLIO to manager, corporate communications. Fisher joined the Ad Council in July 2001 as manager, corporate communications. Fisher will continue working on press relations and targeted press outreach as well as speechwriting for several members of the Ad Council’s senior staff. Responsible for tracking and reporting on all press clippings and broadcast placements for each campaign, Costiglio joined the Ad Council in Feb. 2002 as coordinator, corporate communications.

    MediaCom U.S. has promoted MICHELE KRUMPER to senior vice president-management supervisor, up from vice president-management supervisor. She will be responsible for managing all planning and buying activities for Subway. A retail media expert, she was appointed retail planning director in 2000. Prior to joining MediaCom, Krumper was a network supervisor at Bates.

    The Weather Channel announced that PAUL IAFFALDANO will become executive vice president and general manager of TWC Media Solutions. Iaffaldano will oversee and have leadership responsibility for all advertising sales functions of The Weather Channel and weather.com. Most recently, Iaffaldano was senior vice president of network sales and advertising product development. He replaces LYN ANDREWS.
