GJP Advertising Canada is launching a land development practice. The agency has appointed BRIAN STEINHAUSER as vice president, business development and MICHAEL WILLSON as vice president, associate creative director, to lead the practice. Services of the new practice will include project identity and branding, Web site development, collateral, advertising and marketing, media and event planning.
    Science + Fiction, a branded entertainment company, has hired BRAD CURTIS as SVP/business development. Curtis will oversee worldwide sales for Science + Fiction and manage accounts with Red Bull, the NHL and Unilever.
    ASHA OLIVIA has joined CBS Outdoor Latino, the Hispanic division of CBS Outdoor, as vice president, Latino business development, eastern region.

    Toronto ad agency Zig is joining the U.S. ad marketplace by partnering with Chicago’s Hadrian’s Wall. The agency will be re-branded as Zig.  
  • MPG Azerbaijan
    Following the consolidation of itsoperations in Russia and Ukraine, MPG opened three new offices in the ex-Soviet Union region: MPG Azerbaijan, MPG Kazakhstan and MPG Belarus. The agency also expanded its existence in the Asia Pacific region, giving the network presence in more than 100 markets worldwide and 67 EMEA markets.
    MARY KRAMER, formerly vice president creative services, Sony Wonder at Sony BMG Music Entertainment has joined BIRD Design as senior vice president of marketing.
    G2 Worldwide has named JOHN PAULSON president of G2 Interactive, G2’s North American unit specializing in interactive marketing communications. Paulson will be responsible for overseeing the management and operations of the unit. He replaces NORM LEHOULLIER, who is retiring after 30 years with Grey Global Group.
    CHRISTOPHER GYORGY has been named senior vice president, executive creative director of art at DraftFCB Chicago.
    PAUL MEAD was named president of DraftFCB Canada. Most recently, Mead was president of Foote, Cone & Belding Canada. Mead then named JOHN BONIFACE chief operating officer and ROBIN HEISEY chief creative officer. They previously served as president and executive creative director of FCB Toronto, respectively. Draft Toronto president PETER COISH has decided to leave the agency.
    FAWN MORNINGSTAR has joined Ad Infuse as marketing manager. She joins the company from Apple, where she was in charge of strategic partnership planning & management, driving the growth of the Online Apple Store. Prior to that, she was senior media buyer & planner with Carat Fusion.
