American Express Publishing Corporation has expanded its online and international businesses, realigning the divisions into a jointly operated unit to be led by PHILIP WHITNEY. Whitney, who has established successful international licensing relationships and joint ventures for Travel + Leisure and Departures in his role as general manager of International, was promoted to vice president of Online Media and International.

The Independent Film Channel (IFC) has promoted ELEKTRA GRAY to vice president of consumer public relations. Gray previously served as director of public relations for IFC. She joined IFC consumer public relations in 1999 as a manager and was promoted to director in 2002.

SUSAN CREDLE, currently an executive vice president, creative director and member of the Board of Directors of BBDO New York, has been promoted to executive creative director. In this role, she will continue as co-creative leader on Cingular Wireless as well as lead creative development on M&M’s and other agency brands. Credle joined BBDO as an assistant in 1985, and for the past ten years, she has served as both a writer and creative director on M&M’s.
