• 4As Adds New Member Engagement Leader
    The 4As is appointing Juan Suarez as senior vice president, member engagement and development based in Los Angeles, replacing Jerry McGee who is departing for new opportunities on the East Coast. Suarez most recently was head of digital for the Hulu account at Universal McCann. 
  • Digitas Names New Boston Managing Director
    Digitas is expanding the responsibilities of Melissa Levy to include Managing Director, Boston in addition to her current Head of Account Management, North America duties. In her new role, Levy will oversee the agency’s 500-plus Boston team, one of Publicis Groupe's largest offices, while also serving as account manager across six U.S. Digitas offices. She replaces Robert Guay who departed for an opportunity outside the company.
  • StrawberryFrog Adds Staff
    StrawberryFrog is bolstering the agency's team by hiring James Kuczynski, previously with VaynerMedia, as creative director to work across agency's roster of clients. Stephen Girasuolo, formerly with CSI Group, joins as lead content writer and Lesley Thompson is named head of talent.  
  • Hecho Studios Announces Leadership Team
    Hecho Studios (formerly Hecho en 72 at 72andSunny) is unveiling its leadership team with Briony McCarthy, ex-PHD New York, as President; Tom Dunlap jumps from Chief Production Officer at 72andSunny to become Chief Content Officer and Gui Borchert shifts from 72andSunny's Group Creative Director to serve as Executive Creative Director. By combining their diverse capabilities, the leadership trio will work together to position Hecho, which launched as a stand-alone company in 2018, as a creative studio integrating creative, production and media capabilities.
  • 9thWonder/LA Appoints Creative Director
    9thWonder/Los Angeles is appointing Chloe Cotoulas as the agency's new creative director.  Cotoulas will lead the LA team handling creative development for nine brands including Natrol, Valvoline and Samsung. She joined 9thWonder predecessor Phelps six years ago as a junior copywriter and rose to associate creative director. At age 28,  she becomes the youngest and first female CD in the agency's history.  9thWonder was created via the merger of seven agencies last October.
  • Chu Joins Midnight Oil In Senior Creative Role
    Daniel Chu is joining Los Angeles-based agency Midnight Oil as executive vice president, creative. Chu was most recently EVP/Chief Creative Officer of MRM/McCann West. He has worked with clients such as Microsoft, Sprint, Nike, Target, American Express, and Verizon. Earlier Chu was Chief Creative Officer at Possible and served as EVP, Executive Creative Director at Deutsch LA.  
  • Engine Adds New Client Lead
    Engine is hiring Steve Scutellaro as senior vice president/group account director U.S. to lead client service in the agency's New York office. Clients include Jägermeister, Savencia, Frito Lay and SoulCycle. He will report to Zihla Salinas, CEO, Creative & Content, Engine.Scutellaro previously served as group brand director at Pereira O'Dell, and earlier spent time at Deutch, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, and Rosetta. 
  • SS+K Adds To Research, Strategic Disciplines
    Emily Viola, ex-sparks & honey, is returning to SS+K to serve as Managing Director, Cultural Insights + Brand Strategy to be responsible for expanding Social Forces, the agency's in-house cultural intelligence tool.  Patrick Buckley departs Maslansky & Partners to join the agency as Group Director, Research + Strategy to build out SS+K’s in-house research capabilities and more tightly integrate research, strategy and creative. 
  • Curiosity Adds C-Suite Role
    Curiosity is hiring Ashley Walters, ex-Empower, as Chief Development Officer to oversee the Cincinnati-based agency's growth strategy and marketing, as well as new capabilities and service offerings.  Her new role complements the agency's recent C-suite reshuffling whereby agency founders Greg Livingston and Matt Fischer are now focusing more on vision and strategy while Walters, President Trey Harness and CCO Jeff Warman concentrate on client engagement and day-to-day management. 
  • Oberland Adds Strategic Director
    Oberland has tapped Davianne Harris for the newly created posted of vice president, head of strategy to help agency clients drive their strategic vision as well as oversee and build the shop's overall planning discipline. Based in NYC, she reports to agency co-founder/president Drew Train. Harris most recently worked in a similar role at Cassandra working with brands including Nike, Google, Vans, Coca-Cola, American Eagle, Uber, Target, Red Bull, and Disney.
