• Smartphone Users Struggle With Data Caps
    Most Americans now have smartphones, but data caps appear to be preventing people from fully using their devices. That's according to a new study by the Pew Research Center, which found that 64% of Americans now own a smartphone. Overall, 15% of smartphone users say they "frequently" reach their monthly data caps, while 37% say this happens occasionally.
  • Verizon Now Lets Mobile Users Avoid Controversial Tracking Technology
    Verizon has followed through on a promise made earlier this year to let people avoid a controversial technology that relies on injecting tracking code into users' Web traffic. That tracking code, a unique identifier known as the UIDH, can't be deleted by users. Instead, it's sent to every unencrypted site that people visited from mobile devices.
