There are 800 million reasons over the past three years -- reflected in dropped sales -- why fizzy drinks makers should cooperate. The real reason? Because while improved health-consciousness is obviously a factor, the world's alcohol drinks brands have gone from strength to strength. Their industry is a model of tight regulation and cooperation on macro issues .... surely something Coke and Pepsi should at least consider?
