Agency veterans MICHAEL BENES and HARRY CHAPIN have formed FORGE Worldwide, a marketing communication firm headquartered in Wellesley, Mass. Chapin will be president of the firm and Benes will serve as creative director. Prior to joining forces, Benes was founder and creative director of Benes Brand Imaging. Chapin has worked for companies including Hill/Holiday and Pamet River Partners.

ANDRES LAHOZ has been named director of sales and marketing for PopSci.com. Lahoz is charged with directing sales development for Popular Science’s recently redesigned Web site. He will be responsible for forging partnerships, expanding the site’s roster of online advertisers, and working with the Popular Science editorial team to develop and sell new content areas. Most recently, Lahoz worked at Hearst Magazines, where he was consumer marketing manager forthe Popular Mechanics Web site, PMZone.com.

Omnicom Group's LLKFB has changed its name to Unit 7. Joining the newly named agency are: JOE CUPANI, formerly head of creative for Ogilvy One and Wunderman, who is charged with leading a creative team; MARK KLAPPER, formerly group planning director for Wunderman, will lead a team of planners, psychologists, and analysts; ANDY ACAMPORA, will serve as chief financial officer. Lastly, LITA SANDS, who headed Pfizer's relationship marketing group, has joined the agency in the new role of chief client services director.

Discovery Networks, U.S. has named MARY CREGAN account executive, Southeast sales region, advertising sales. Cregan joins Discovery from The Walt Disney Company in Atlanta, where she served as account manager, media and marketing partnerships for ABC Radio Networks/Radio Disney. In this role, Cregan was responsible for the sales and service of Radio Disney and RadioDisney.com to agencies and clients throughout the Southeast.
