Sometimes digital marketers can concentrate on pointless questions and ignore the real lessons staring them in the face. Was the ice bucket challenge a fad? Of course it was. It was supposed to be. The real lesson is how cheaper data roaming and our love of showing off combined with pester power now makes social the always-on channel that is primed for real-time.
