The New York office of Deutsch has hired JWT New York’s Matt Baker as chief strategy officer. He’ll report to Deutsch NY CEO Val DiFebo. Baker will have oversight of Deutsch’s brand planning (traditional and digital), data analytics, and communications planning teams, working across all clients including Johnson & Johnson, Busch, PNC Bank, Siemens and DraftKings, among others. At JWT New York, Baker led the strategy department on brands including Rolex, Johnson & Johnson, Nestlé and Kleenex. WPP affiliate Richard Attias & Associates (RA&A) has appointed former International Olympic Committee (IOC) executive Panos Tzivanidis as its CEO, and Maureen Mitchell, who most recently served as Director of Scheduling and Operations for the Office of House Speaker Paul D. Ryan, as Chief of Staff. They will be based out of RA&A’s New York City office. Interpublic’s Huge has named Dwayne Raupp, formerly with WPP’s Ford-dedicated agency GTB, as executive creative director of its Detroit office to lead the agency's creative team as well as bolster its design capabilities. In this new role, he will report to Ranae Heuer, managing director of Huge Detroit and Derek Fridman, Huge’s global executive experience director.
