• Apple Misses Revenue Target
    Apple posted revenue below analysts' expectations on Tuesday, as iPhone sales slowed during the run-up to a new model released last week. In the company's fourth fiscal quarter, it earned $28.27 billion and posted a profit of $6.62 billion ($7.05 per share). Revenue increased 39% from the fourth quarter last year, and profit was up 54%.

  • Virgin Galactic Opens Spaceport, No Flights Yet
    Virgin Galactic has cut the ribbon on its spaceport in New Mexico. Called "Spaceport America," Virgin Galactic's LEED-certified, airport-looking building is also equipped with geothermal heating and cooling, for what it's worth. The official name of the terminal is the "Virgin Galactic Gateway to Space," a moniker announced by Branson's two children while rappelling together from the roof the building. Apparently 150 people have already paid deposits on the $200,000 tickets into space and 430 hold reservations.

    Atlantic City is looking for an ad agency. Now that the Alliance for Atlantic City has named former Aramark president Liza Cartmell as CEO, the Alliance is looking to "revitalize, rebrand, and reactivate" Atlantic City as a destination for tourists, per Richard Roth, of Roth Associates, the New York consultancy managing the search.
