    Gboard, a new app for iPhone users, enables users to search and send information, GIFs, emojis and more from the keyboard on the phone. Google says the tool allows users to find restaurant info, flight times, news articles and more. Results appear as cards with the key information front and center, such as the phone number, ratings and hours. With one tap, you can send it to your friend and keep the conversation going.

    Microsoft plans to shut down its Chinese Web portal, next month, and focus on offering software and services for Windows 10 devices in the region. “The software giant, which is under investigation by Chinese antitrust authorities, said it plans to continue to invest in other business in the country as well as maintaining its research and development operations there,” The Wall Street Journal reports.

    Google will have new digs in NYC, a space on the renovated Pier 57 on the Hudson. The massive project will include 300,000 square feet of office space, 34,000 square feet of public space around the pier, an 80,000-square-foot rooftop park, and 21,000 square feet of waterfront esplanade north and south of the pier.

    Mark Ballard tells marketers that since Yahoo struck the search deal with Google in October 2015, Merkle RKG has been seeing many more Google Shopping Ads, product listing ads (PLAs), in Yahoo search results. Merkle's data shows Yahoo began significantly increasing the use of PLAs as early as the end of March. The first spike occurred around March 18, writes Ballard. Partner share of desktop PLAs rose from about 4% to between 6% and 7%. On April 27, partner share rose sharply again to between 8% and 9%, he wrote.
